The Art & Science of Tapping

This image was captured in a recent BodyIntuitive training I attended, (bottom right). Here you see a room of healthcare practitioners immersed in in leading-edge practices of eastern & western perspectives in mind-body health, medicine & science.

In the photo we are using a method called "tapping" to integrate & optimize the functioning of the brain. Tapping - utilizes the natural energies of the body to initiate non-invasive, deeply influential, systemic change.

In recent years there has been an increase in the use of tapping in many areas of healthcare. Integrative practitioners have special knowledge of how the varying systems of the body interrelate and connect, influencing each other; contributing to overall health outcomes including physical, social-emotional, spiritual & mental health.

Though it may be new to many of us, Tapping is an ancient method that has been used by healing practitioners for thousands of years.

The act of tapping, stimulates the meridian channels of the body, which carry subtle energies not visible to the naked eye. As a result, tapping is considered a practice of energy medicine.

Tapping utilizes natural energies within our hands and bodies, creating significant, impactful, health enhancing shifts.

The first time I experienced subtle healing energies was in 2012. An intense, debilitating headache led me to receive a session with a friend. At the time, I had no idea what I'd signed up for and after 20 short minutes, the headache was fully and completely gone.

In the days and weeks that followed, I came to realize that not only did the headache go away, but there had also been an even more significant shift, the absence of decades-long chronic neck and upper back tension and pain.

Two months after the session, the pain still gone, I knew a door opened for me with an invitation to take my own health into my hands. For me, there was no looking back!

What's amazing about tapping is that it is a low to no-cost method that can be learned and utilized for the self over the long-term. A practice with great potential to lead to meaningful, lasting, shifts.
